Haney Automotive & Performance becomes just Haney Automotive
History
Our history began when I officially retired my parents! Time for them to enjoy life with no more punching the clock. At the same point my brother Brad officially moved on to concentrate on a business that we were partners in during our automotive business partnership together. Haney Automotive became owned and operated solely by ME! My wife, Heather came to join the family business as well in 2016. She has brought with her a wealth of knowledge, creativity and vision which has proven to be a great addition to the business and our future in the community. We have always been so proud to say that we are family owned and operated.
Haney Automotive has always been a family run business and my dad came out of retirement in 2014 to aid in the running of the office as well. His business/management & logistics background gave the shop a great jump start that it was needing at the time.
We suffered a serious loss as the Dyno was destroyed in a shop fire. After much thought and discussion we took this as a sign to focus more on strictly mechanical repair.
Haney Automotive & Performance dove into performance tuning around late 2005 . We had a Mustang Chassis Dyno that enabled us to test horsepower and torque as well as aid us in tuning each vehicle. This made us a specialty shop as no other shop in Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows offered this service.
4 years after the purchase of Bergman Motors and we were literally bursting at the seams and needed to expand. So when Haney Automotive came up for sale we jumped at the opportunity. We purchased Haney Automotive from Bill Petoom. It was a large and successful shop that had been servicing vehicles in the community for over 20 years.
Donna Zimmerman (My mom)) came on board to help in the office at the shop. Her accounting & administrative background was a huge asset to the business.
My brother and I (Brandon and Brad Zimmerman) purchase Bergman Motors located at 12026 Fletcher Street in Maple Ridge. We were young and it was a serious adventure. There was lots to learn and we went full steam ahead
